3 Men in Custody After Shots Fired at Chicago Police Officer

Three men are in custody after shots were fired in the direction of a Chicago police officer on Thanksgiving morning.

The incident occurred in the 6700 block of East End at approximately 9:18 a.m., according to police. Officers were responding to a call of a suspicious person when they attempted to question a group of men standing in front of a building.

One of the men fled the scene, and an officer gave chase. Several shots were fired in his direction during the incident, according to the report.

Three of the men were taken into custody for questioning, but the man that ran from officers was able to escape.

No one was injured in the incident, and police are still investigating.
